Happy Halloween!

So, how many people dressed up for Halloween today?

If so, what are you wearing?

And did your office get it? :)

Last night I pulled together a Firefly outfit. Grey jeans, black boots, longsleeve green top, short sleeve grey top, gun with holster, belt with pouches in grey and black and some stuff. I think it looks pretty good (for pulling it together last night.). I'll try and get a picture up at some point.

And no, my office didn't get it all. (Sheesh, and we produced Firefly.)

I was thinking about dressing up, but last year I did and I was the only one. So, this year I didn't, and there are four people who did! the best one is the "Harry Potter".

I raided my husband's drawer and came as an electrician, sans electrician gut.

Jeans, t-shirt-- what's not to like about wearing that? Though I've noticed that the lower part of the shirt seems to attrack mysterious black smudges. And where do mysterious black smudges come from in an office with ivory/cream marble everywhere?

It's a mystery.

The trouble with Firefly costuming is that it's too darned practical! I bet you look cute as a bug though.

I'm at the family business so I went subtle, with an outfit from Torrid which is ordinary contemporary until you notice that there are skulls amongst the flowers on the hoodie jumper. Hee.

I dressed as a sort of vampire. Everyone got it and they are trying to steal this cool jacket I borrowed from Ysabeau.

That's funny! (That no one got it over at Fox... but I can see why. You probably just look cool and bad-ass.)

I didn't wear a costume, but I am wearing orange and black :)

I wasn't allowed to dress up because we are implementing a hospital today (I know--how stupid, on Halloween!).

I, too, am wearing orange and black however.

Well, halloween was yesterday here and I didn't dress up. We got exactly 1 knock on the door. We weren't prepared so we ran out to the store and bought $20 worth of candy. No one else came to the door and we ate ourselves into chocolate comas. Hubby took the remainder to work today.

Since I work at home, nope I haven't dressed up for the event. But we sure did dress to the nines at the party in Wisconsin on Saturday night. I revived my costume from 2-years ago (Come as your inner Goth: Hello Kitty Goth), and updated the blouse to the lacy corset and blouse with lacy sleeves (blouse under the corset, so really it was just a privacy lining for where the corset would be showing *too* much!). The overall effect was VERY nice!

And I found out why I've never liked Karaoke... You have to be drinking heavily for it to be enjoyable.

Let's say we were all REALLY enjoying the Karoake hours and hours later of Wisconsin-level drinking! *snicker*

I'm wearing garb. My coworkers wanted to see me all dressed up.

I want pictures of your ad hoc Firefly outfit!

I too, wore garb. Everyone thought that I looked cute. I did not realize, however, that losing weight would make the dress way too long!!! I nearly tripped and fell numerous times today, but all in all had a good day with my special kids. Their parents sent in way more goodies than we know what to do with, so I am keeping some of the candy to put into the rewards box for later on in the year.

Wore the red Venetian and a personal coronet. I think the only ones who got it were the ones who already knew--my boss actually knew me back in the nineties when I was doing Elizabethan--one year I came in wheel farthingle, wig and the whole nine yards. I think she was a little disappointed that the Venetian was so...restrained.
Had lots of complements, though, and even some questions from those who didn't know but could tell it wasn't really what you'd call a Halloween costume.

I had to go to my OTHER school for most of the day yesterday and they don't do Halloween. No decorations, no costumes, NO HALLOWEEN PARTIES! How lame is that. Anyway, I didn't dress up. Bummer.
