TGIF!

Yay! It's Friday! That makes me very happy. For a short week it was pretty tough. Work is very busy. This blog is very lonely. (Man I get way less responses to this than responses that I send out to others.....yeah yeah....everyone is busy....I get it....but still.)

Saturday I need to do about a million loads of laundry and continue the Clutter Wars frontal assault on the bedroom. At least there are reports of victory at the front. I've made pretty good progress.

I'd also like to work on a beaded flatcap and I really need to do some drawing. I promised I'd do one drawing a week and so far I haven't done any.

I walked this morning. It wasn't as cold as yesterday but still a little chilly. I'll be happier when it's a touch warmer. I still need to retrain to get up about 30 minutes earlier. (Or go to bed earlier. Sheesh....I was almost ready for bed last, promising to get a decent amount of sleep and then started playing computer games for no reason at all last night.

I liked the episode of Supernatural last night. Good solid MotW (Monster of the Week) episode with only a few problems. And Smallville was good too. Justice League! I wish they'd get rid of the whiny chars (Lois and Lana) and just change the name of the series (and focus) to Justice League!

Okay....lots to do.

Last night's Smallville was an obvious spinoff hook for a Justice League show. Any character not already tied up with a live action series or movie option seems to be fair game. Batman and Wonder Woman obviously have options out. I guess The Flash and Green Lantern must as well. They did use the name "Impulse" for Bart after all. Martian Manhunter has been spotted in the darkness -- I wonder if they got the OK from Nabisco for use of Oreos by name, or if it's just general "cookies" that he's dropping? The need some more women... well the Birds of Prey didn't quite "fly", maybe they can swipe those characters too.

I may need to start watching "Supernatural."

I was curious about the use of the name Impulse for Bart as well, (but that's not a comic book I follow regularly). Wally Allen is the current Flash, but last I remember Bart Allen was a member of the Teen Titans (Or is it just Titans these days?) So maybe he has a different name currently in the comic books.

Yeah....Birds of Prey didn't fly at all. I'd like to see a more Black Canary Dinah Lance in this Justice League team. Not the wimp that was in Birds of Prey. *Shudder*

You do need to watch Supernatural. It rocks! Literally! Metallicar!

Out of curiosity. How did you get started doing what you do for Fox?

Pure luck. I was working as an assistant in the Legal Department when the job became vacant. And I applied and got it (the second time). The rest has been on the job training. The Internet has really changed the job.

I saw Smallville (Ian recorded it), and found myself wondering when all the DC characters started wearing hoodies. I haven't read the comix in ages, but DC was my preference (never got interested in the Marvel universe).

I agree that Lana is going in a weird direction (Lois and Clark had Lois about to marry Lex at one point -- what's with Supe's girlfriends all falling for Lex?)

Well, Green Arrow was wearing a hood back in the Mike Grell/Longbow Hunters days, but for the rest, I think that's a "we're not doing spandex on TV but need the JL to look like they are in costume" convention. :)

Lana. Bleh.

I need to do some drawing too! Let's have a drawing date.

Sounds good to me. Hey, I still have that half DVD/Half VCR player if you are still interested in it.

Yes, I'm still interested! Will you be at Festival of the Rose?

I dunno yet, but I'll be at Unbelted on Saturday.

Unfortunately, I won't be at Unbelted, since our troupe is performing up in Palmdale.
