Allergies ick
Nov. 13th, 2005 07:43 amI'm sitting here in front of the computer not doing anything cuz I keep sneezing my head off. I'm waiting for the allergy meds to kick in.
I want to go for a walk in the neighborhood and pick up a newspaper, cuz as far as I can tell from online, Serenity isn't playing *anywhere* near me. Grump! Plans for today were clean house, go for a walk, work on projects (including NaNoWriMO) and go see Serenity but I'd like to see it somewhere nearish.
Yesterday was Coronation which was fun, though I can't really say I actually saw the event. I went up with Eilidh in her Amazing Festiva of Miles and she's just a riot. :) She appointed herself my personal minion which was very odd but saw that I got water and food and stuff. I was running around a bit working with the scroll stuff. (There were some *amazing* scrolls though not many of them. Note to self: Get back to work!!! Personal favorite on the scrolls was the piece that Giuseppe and Giles did which was just screaming Elizabethan. Maggie Ros is gonna *love* it!) Countess Isabel was at the event (looking fabulous!) and I got to introduce her to Laertes and Bridgit which is cool as she lives in Altavia. I think she'd like to get involved in the SCA again but has to get Doug involved. It wasn't a hugely attended event but there seemed like a number of people who came out of the woodwork which was neat. Brianna la Francise got her Pelican which was awesome. And she's agreed to take over the scroll assignment stuff! Yay!!!! And there was great rejoicing. I can't wait to hand over the responsibilities for this to her. But the agreed upon hand over is January. (Darn :) heh)
I think I was really burned out on the assignment stuff and just not realizing it. It will really be good to have a new hand and outlook on that job. Now we just have to find a way to encourage more scribes to take on assignments.
Eilidh and I had a long discussion of projects on the way back from Coronation and I realize that I really need to not try and do six things at once, but really focus on just one or two projects at a time and make progress at finishing them. I really like checking stuff off my list, but usually flit from thing to thing....oooo.......shiny! and never make much progress. And then get bored entirely and go play CoH. (City of Heroes not College of Heralds btw :)
Today I want to finish the rose on my sweet bag! Okay! That's it. Time for my morning walk!
