Lux and Ducks

aliskye I could not get myself moving this morning. I was slower than .......a....a slow thing (to channel Giuseppe). When finally got down to the garage to get into my car and come to work, I noticed the pool rippling a lot, more than normal and wondered who was swimming in the morning. When I got close I saw that it was a pair of ducks. I've never seen ducks in the pool before. I wish I'd have run upstairs to get my camera. (But I would have been even later to work than my normal late.)
Saturday at Crown Tourney, I got a Lux Caidis for Scribal arts. I think in the back of my mind I thought I would never get this award. I've been working so long with the College of Scribes that I get a lot of people that kind of assume that I'm a Laurel which I'm not, so getting this was pretty cool. Even better is getting it from Edric and Faizeh whom I deeply respect and admire and whom continuelly set an example for all the highest qualities in monarchs. And Edric in particular has always been a major supporter of the Scribes and has in the past given a few moving speeches in praise and support.
I had something else I was going to add here, but I forgot what it was. Okay...I'll go work now.
