I saw this in a magazine article and liked it:

"When you throw a stick for a dog, he runs after it. But throw a stick for a lion and he turns around to see who threw it".

It's supposed to be a Buddhist teaching that says not everything is worth chasing after.  Interesting....hmmmm?

Oh, I read it and thought that lion turned around to see who threw something at him cause he was going to be chasing after them.

He's deciding whether to toss the stick-thrower after the stick, or merely to glare at the thrower until the thrower goes and gets the stick and brings it to him, as is should be.

Throw a stick for a lion, and it's pot luck. Throw a stick for a juggler, and it's passing, bounces, steals, and too much siteswap...

Dog's don't quite have the same heightened predator drive anymore...

If you pass away and own dogs, and aren't found for awhile, your dog will die along with you.

If you pass away and own cats...the coroner/forensics team will find you with chunks missing.

Higher predatorial drive.

RAWR!
