Woot! Catarina and I went to the swap meet this morning (heh, I almost typed swamp meet....it was a little humid) and the weather was mostly cool and overcast when I was expecting it to be really hot. It got humid around noon but we were ready to leave by then. I found a table and chairs for the patio! I'm really jazzed! It's exactly what I was looking for (though I think in my mind I was thinking black rather than white). I plan to "antique" it a little with some other color to tone the white down. Not sure yet what will work. (Green? Grey? Black?)

I also found this awesome little print from the 30's. I think the guy said it was done by a student of Aubrey Beardsley. (Did he say Clark? I'll have to do some research.) I love this guy's stuff....it's very Gorey-like.

Then I saw this great Craftsman buffet but I was out of cash by then (and felt I'd spent enough). Oh well. Focus! Patio! Bathroom! Then the Living Room/Dining Room.

I finished going through the folders of household stuff (old bills, paycheck stubs, etc) and shredded everything. It was a couple of garbage bags worth of stuff. I started on the perpetually overflowing in box and hope to get a little more of that done today. I'm also going through some old video tapes of random stuff I taped off of tv. (Nothing I'll admit to now :)

And I sent off some LARP stuff to Charles. So all in all I think I got a lot done.

Depending on how it's done, green antiquing could make it look like it's growing algae. Maybe not the best concept.

I'd go with grey.
