Living in the moment?
Jun. 23rd, 2005 10:12 amI was reading a little article about the Buddhist concept of living in the moment and wondering if I should do that more. Lately I've been experiencing the blahs. I'm not getting done what I would like and I'm not feeling as content as I think I should be. After all, I'm in pretty good shape. I have a job I love. My own (albeit little) place to live. A good car. A great family. Fabulous friends and this cool hobby that keeps bringing new skills to try out. But I often think I'm not taking advantage of most of it. My place is a mess, my office (heh...cube) at work is less organized that I would like. Most of my projects are incomplete. I lack focus and drive.
On the other hand, maybe I live too much "in the moment", just for me it's the moment of laziness and I'll just sit and relax and do all these other things later.......
Hmmmmmm..........I'll have to think about this some more......later.....
