Weekend plans

I'm going to go look for tile over the weekend, and hopefully make a final choice as to what I want. I'm pretty sure on color, something slate grey with a little green tossed in and maybe some highlights of gold/orange/beige for warmth. It would be cool to actually set a date to get the work done. (If I was a true DIYer, I would, but I'm not)

I got a few more things off the patio last night. Just a little bit to go and then I can rip up the last of the outdoor carpeting. I need to make a final decision on the table out there.

I also tossed most of a basket full of magazines that I had intended to read at some point. And the basket is heading for Goodwill.

So more tossing, cleaning and decluttering this weekend. I also want to work on my sweetbag. I need to get at least one flower done this weekend! Plus lots of laundry. I'd also like to get the smock done. I sewed on the sleeves and gores last night. I need to do some kind of facing and a collar. Then sew the whole thing up and put on some cuffs.

I've got some old crew jackets that I need to get rid of. First call on them is family, but I'll let you all know if there is anything left after that.

Work Front

Every day I'm again amazed at what an incredible tool the internet is. One of the producer's of one of my co-workers shows wanted to put a line from a poem on his production card. The first thing discussed was whether the poem was in the public domain (it's not). Then was discussed whether one line would be harmful (probably not....but it's better to be safe). Then we talked about how well know the poem was and I pointed out that with the internet it was possible to find these things in a matter of seconds. So the attorney gave me a phrase from a favorite song and I pulled it up in seconds. And did the same with the poem in question. Dropped the search terms in Google and in both cases the exact match came up first. I love being known as the research wiz around here. (Of course it's all the internet and not me :)
