There is no Joy in Mudville
Jan. 5th, 2006 02:39 pmthe Mighty Trojans have struck out.
oh man, what a heartbreak. I watched the Rose Bowl/BCS Championship game over at my parents house. I guess if I didn't have an emotional investment in the game it would have been exciting. I really wanted and hoped USC would win but to give credit where credit is due, that Vince Young is one amazing football player. I hope he gets drafted for the NFL (heh).
I'm back at work after being on vacation (and pretty much ignoring everything from email to blogs to the SCA to rl. Time to shape up and get back on track.
Work Front: I'm struggling to get motivated here, fortunately it's not super busy and I did a lot of stuff before leaving for vacation. No new on the job reclassification front yet. I need to ask about that.
SCA Front: I don't know if I'm bored or burned out, but I'm not terribly motivated here either. I did some pewter casting yesterday which was fun, but I had an extremely high failure rate and I need to figure out why. I'm thinking about not going to 12th Night. I need to talk to Eowyn and see if maybe I can drop the scribe tokens off with her tomorrow night if I decide I really don't want to go. I also decided it was important for me to stay home Winter Weekend weekend and get some rl things done (plus some family stuff that is going on then).
Health Front: I need to focus on this a lot and start getting up early enough to go for a walk in the morning. I walked a little at lunch time, and had a salad, so far so good. I need to write down what I'm eating and drink more (a lot more) water.
Home Front: I never did get the whole house cleaned up, but the kitchen is not bad and the living room is in pretty good shape. The stupid paper (mail and such) is piling up again and I need to really devote some solid time to knocking it all back down again.
Game Front: The Magic Modern rpg got restarted and we had a good session on Monday. The Firefly/Serenity game is struggling with scheduling problems but we'll be playing towards the end of the month. CoH/CoV has been really fun. The winter event was neat. I'm having a blast with the RIMA crew.
And that's all the news that's fit to print.
