The continuing story
Sep. 28th, 2006 10:15 amSo, I get home with new cable modem box and new cable tv box and start hooking things up. And the cable modem box is still not working. So I move on to the cable tv box and wtf? "Your service has been disconnected". I check the bill. No.....I paid it on time and everything. I call the service line. Yes...they show the service is paid for and isn't that odd. I wait to talk to the technician who is nice but after a lot of okay turn the box off, I'm going to do something, turn the box on, same message on the screen repeated several times can only suggest that the new cable tv box is defective. So then I get to wait for another technician regarding the cable modem box. After this and that, I'm finally able to get to the Internet, but it's reallllllllllly sloooooooooooooow. He thinks there is some trouble on the line. I have an appointment for Saturday 10-12 (so much for going to Angels Anniversary).
This morning the internet connection was working much better but still a little slow. I also picked up a new cable tv box. I'm not going to cancel the appointment until everything is working tip-top again.
