Beach report!

I haven't done the Sunday beach thing with the parents for a long time, so I decided today was the day. We did the usual thing. Breakfast at the Rose in Santa Monica (I paid in honor of Mom's birthday this week). I had a half a blueberry muffin and a class of non-fat milk. Then we went and walked on the beach. It was beautiful and blustery, the sun glared off the ocean and the wind was blowing. There were almost no surfers, but the waves were largish though not well-formed. (They were breaking too soon.) The sand was damp from the rain with a lot of debris. We then went to the farmer's market where I bought green beans and asparagus (which will be for dinner tonight) and flowers and I bought flowers for Mom. After that we went to Costco for all the usual stuff one buys there.

I'm home now. I need to do laundry today and really clean the house so it's not such a mess when I get back from the cruise. I also need to start thinking about what is going to go on the cruise with me. Oh....and check the reservations and stuff. Dad's worried that we don't have one of the pieces of paper we need for the cruise (but it all looks in order to me.)

Lunch today will be a salad. Dinner salmon and the veggies I bought. Maybe potatoes. I really need to get some rice.

Okay....time to get into it.
