Back From Outer Space!
Dec. 26th, 2006 10:13 amOkay....I'm really back from a cruise to Mexico, but one day while walking through the ship on a lower deck, I commented to my niece that space travel on the Enterprise would be like this. :) Walking past all the cabins in a narrow passage way.
Anyway.....the cruise was pretty awesome. I had no idea. Now, I don't see myself doing it again by myself or with one friend, but with the whole family it was tons of fun.
First off, you get treated rather royally. Everyone smiles and says hello. Your room gets cleaned twice a day. Once to make the beds and check the towels and clean and later to turn down the beds (and leave a candy on your pillow) and check the towels and clean some more. I could so get used to that. Then....there is food. There is food 24 hours a day, from the 24-hour buffet, to the dining rooms, to the special buffets, to the pizza place and burger place. Okay, not all of those are open all the time, but still....24-hours a day of food. I did try not to over eat, and I didn't gain any weight at all.
There were two formal nights and it was so fun to see everyone dressed up. I really got a kick out of that.
