Tailgate party
Dec. 5th, 2010 10:03 amSo, contributing to the constant amusement that is my family, we had a tailgate party before the USC-UCLA football game yesterday. In the driveway of my parent's house. Before watching the game on the television inside. :)
It was an away game for us (game at the Rose Bowl) so not included in our season tickets. No one really wanted to trek out to the Rose Bowl for the game. (The visiting seats are on benches and very uncomfortable and the parking is atrocious (though tailgating on the golf course is great)).
So we set up the USC popup on the driveway and brought out the barbecue and made hot dogs. It was terrible fun. Mom invited some of the neighbors and they joined us. (One is a sportscaster on ESPN).
I even managed to handle all the food within my WW guidelines (though I had to run to the store and get reduced fat hot dogs as the monster dogs mom had are 10 points a piece! Not counting bun or anything.)
I'm really pleased with the new WW system. I'm finding it much easier to stick to and I've lost 4 pounds already. I really hope to keep it up over the holidays (and my vacation).
And USC won!!!!! 28-14 (It should have been 38-7 :) but I'll take the win :)
