Derailed!

Nuts. I need to do some pewter casting today and I'm ready right now! to get started and I can't find my safety goggles. And Tonwen (and a few other people) would kill me if I work without them (and it would be a pretty stupid idea anyway.) I'm going to half to run to Home Dept and get a new pair. Probably two pair and put them in nice logical easy to find when I need them places.

In other news:

Went to the Bank.
Took in some recycling stuff
Bought groceries for the tailgate party and for a dip for New Year's Eve.

ETA: Sheesh. I feel stupid now. I went to Home Depot and bought a couple pairs of safety goggles. Got home. Went to find the mold (which wasn't with the rest of the stuff I pulled out earlier. And there were the old safety goggles. I probably could have been finished by now. Anyway. The hot pot is warming up.

Pewter Casting and stuff

I finished casting 30 little embattled quills for 12th Night tokens to the Kingdom Scribes. I need to do a little more clean up on them. (Then find some ribbon and string them.) But the hard part is done. (Actually, it's not hard at all. The mold was a little fussy, it doesn't like to be tightly held like the one I carved, but once I figured that out, it didn't take too long.)

Well....I finished the clean-up and ended up with 28. Unless Brianna tells me we need more, I'll just leave it at that.
