Back to normal?
Jan. 9th, 2008 01:51 pmI'm all back at work (and it's cold! Someone speculated that they turned down the thermostat to save money because of the strike) and it's a little weird. No production of course because of the strike. (I met a couple of charming writers yesterday when I went for a walk.) We're mostly doing rights clearance research and I guess my boss doesn't like that we've been mostly treating all of this as a holiday as she imposed a hard deadline for getting the first set of rights clearance reports done. Boo. And scheduled a meeting to discuss script clearance procedures. I'm going to have to work harder. Boo!
My bedroom has stayed mostly picked up through the holidays though other parts of the condo have gotten cluttered. I'm still attacking the Clutter on multiple fronts though recent SCA activity has taken a chunk out of my time. I wish there was time to do everything. I've been working on my sweetbag (I took it to council meeting and got a good hour's worth done.) And I have scrolls to do. And I need to write a newcomer broadsheet and get my old newcomer corner columns back into circulation. *And* Medb and I are going to be doing traveling scriptoriums all over the place looks like.
Good! I think if we had 50-60 more active scribes we could actually do every AoA (where the person has arms and names passed) and give them out when they got their AoA (provided the Crown could give us 4-6 weeks lead time). It's not impossible, it just takes a) more active scribes and b) a change in climate in the way we do things.
