Monday morning

I just got back from a 2.7 mile walk.  Go me.  Yesterday I did 2 walks totaling 4.4 miles.  I'd like to get at least another mile in today probably around dinner time.

What's on the rest o the agenda?  More house cleaning, though I got everything sorted into the new shelf boxes and I'm very pleased with it.  I'd take a picture except I left my camera at work.  Yesterday I sorted through all my outstanding mail and paid bills.  Solemn vow to never let it stack up again.  I have a system in place that should work.

Today I need to go food shopping and some laundry.  I'd like to take a few things into the Council Thrift shop and get to Macy's to buy these new dishes I have my eye on.  I should just pack up the old dishes and take them to the thrift shop.  That will be pretty good incentive to get the new dishes.  Heh.

I'd also like to work on some SCA projects.  I have a bodice to work on (again, still), my sweetbag (again, still) and a scroll.  I think that should keep me busy.

Oh, and I need to update my movie list.  I finished Sleepy Hollow last night.
 

Movies 2008

7.  "Jumper':  I went to a lunch time screening at work of "Jumper" on Thursday.  I liked it.  It was fun and fast and action filled and cool with the special effects.  It was pretty short on plot and wouldn't hold up to any critical analysis.  Who funded the bad guys?  Paladins?  I liked Jamie Bell very much.  It was kind of a waste of Samuel Jackson.  He wasn't bad or anything, but he mostly only got to glower.  It was a fast food/popcorn movie.  It would be a great MST3K show.  I saw it for free on company time.  Can't beat that. :)

8.  "Sleepy Hollow":  This is beautiful filmed, a little spooky and rather bloody.  It reminded me of "Company of Wolves" alot.  I thought Johnny Depp was excellent (and oh so very good looking in this).   I did predict who did it before the end (but I'm sure not as soon as some others.  Interesting film.
