Tightropegirl is Doris Egan!!!? and Doris Egan is Jane Emerson!!? ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH! - Elspeth and I both loved City of Diamond (Jane's book), and waited patiently, and then impatiently, and then despondently for a sequel, and in the mean time found another author we really liked finished all 3 of those books (the ivory books), waited for the possibly obvious sequelae, waited some more, waited... waiting... sigh.

So... Cool! but, ARRRGGGHHHHH! no wonder we liked both. and now we get painfully teased again by the first chapter of City of Opal. sigh. ARRRRGGGHHHHH!

Yes and Yes. :) I haven't read City of Diamond yet, but I loved the Ivory books. And she's written a bunch of television scripts as well (she's currently working on House). I'm so sorry I didn't realize who she was when she was working on 20th TV stuff.
