Now that I've reached the age I am-- there are two luxuries I indulge that I find I wlll not give up.
1) My housekeeper. Absolutely non-negotiable. When my husband complained about our monthly expenditures (the last time!) I would not budge. I have other things to do with my limited free time and cleaning the house/changing beds/mopping, etc. is the last thing on my priority list. Well, if not the last, close to it.
2) Having my car cleaned. I find I loathe doing the inside of the windows, but get easily squicked when they're dirty. It's a pleasant outing to the carwash place every two weeks or so, fork over $19 and have it done while enjoying some ice cream and a book. And if I add an additional $10, I get the oil changed AND a clean car on top of it.
Works for me! Seems to me that there are much worse vices to have than a liking to have clean glass on one's ride.
