So, I wanted to do the layout for an easy to paint scroll appropriate for an Award of Arms that can be customized. I've never done anything based on the Luttrell Psalter before, but it's an awfully fun manuscript. So here it is. There are a few extra lines marking out borders that won't be transferred to the final paper (except to show the calligrapher the boundaries). The space between the seals and on top of the leaves that stick out can have drolleries or motifs that will be customized for each scroll.

Now I just need to copy some on good paper and turn them over to Medb for calligraphy.

I like how there's the smaller flowers in the vine on the bottom left and they're inside the ?vine circles higher up. I also like how the vine sneeks along the bottom and pops up on the lower right :)

Thanks! :) It's totally derived from the Luttrell Psalter :)

Just to make sure I totally grok this -- You're completing all the illumination for (ideally five) scrolls, and then someone else just has to sign up to complete the text (and if they are AoA's, the emblazon painting)?

Count me in to definitely completely one. Then we'll see how long that took me to do. It's "furthering my art" which will make Tonwen happy.

What I had in mind was to do the layout (all the design work except for the emblazon) and then turn it over to Medb for reassignment to one or more scribes to do the calligraphy, paint and finish it. Or I can hand it to someone to just do the calligraphy and I'll do the painting.

If you want to take one off my hands and do the calligraphy or more, that would be awesome.

What I ultimately had in mind was feeding the scriptorium scroll pipeline.

My point is that I'm jumping into the pipeline. :)
