I'm heading off to War (GWW that is) in 3 days! And I'm totally not ready yet. This past weekend should have been the big push to go through my checklist and getting everything organized, but I can't find the checklist I diligently inputted in to the computer last year (I have my old list but it's not organized as nicely) and I had to go to a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday and a Bat Mitzvah party on Sunday. (Why they had it over two days I can't guess but it sucked most of the energy out of the weekend.)
Today is Rosh Hashanah eve so happy new year to all that celebrate. That means I'll be in Temple tonight and tomorrow morning which sucks off more time to get ready for the event. I think I will skip the after services lunch with the family this year which will give me some time to get stuff together. Then I have Wednesday night to finish and pack and off to the war as early as I can on Thursday.
I still need to:
Hem my blue wool skirt.
Finish eyelets on my new blue wool bodice (and hope it fits!)
Make some repairs on the new blue wool bodice where it didn't quite sew up the way I intended.
Buy gas
Get to the bank
Hit the store for this and that and water
Run through the checklist.
Pack the car
Check directions (even though I've been there a bunch of times now)
Check my toiletries bag. (Before I go to the store)
If I have extra time (not likely cuz everything takes longer than you think) I'd like to:
Make taller poles for my banners (some kind of pvp sleeve?)
Finish the smock I started but don't really need for this event.
Make a hat to match the blue wool bodice.
Finish the sleeves for same.
I think I'm tired just looking at the list.
Work Front: Totally swamped. Where does the work come from?
SCA Front: See above. :)
Game Front: Next rpg is in a week. Gaming this week is limited to minor breaks from all the above.
Health Front: Um....after the war? :)
Book Front: Same as above.
