Good things, bad things

I'm getting a handle on pilot season. I have one pilot and one presentation left to do and with luck I'll get them both done today. Then I have to catch up on pilot revisions and handle a few other things (like research-y stuff for a couple of shows) oh and do an American Dad episode. After that I need to start going through things to prepare for our move to the 14th Floor. Boy do I have a lot of junk here.

Traffic was really really heavy this morning and I kept expecting to see road work or an accident to explain it, but I never did. Sigh. But I did get a ticket. Darn it. I was going through the signal and the traffic just stopped with me, kind of in the middle. I kept hoping for the cars in front of me to compress, but they didn't and you guessed it, there was a motorcycle cop right there. I really don't do that as a matter of course, but the one time, of course a cop has to be right there. I should have cried.

The new plastic shed in the back yard is almost together. I just need to get some strong tall people to muscle roof into place. (Any volunteers? I've got girl scout cookies?)

I really want to spend some time cleaning this weekend. The place really needs it.

I remember the day I was asked to become a member of the Order of the Pelican and how I basically walked on air the entire rest of the day. I kinda feel like that now: I've been promoted to Manager, Legal Clearances at Fox. With a substantial raise. Way more than I was expecting. OMG! YIPPEE!!
