Happy Birthday!

Okay....shameless self-promotion time! Today is my birthday (as well as the birthday of Elizabeth I) and it's a biggy ending in 0 and starting with 5. *boggle* Everyone tells me I don't look my age. :) I attribute it to having youthful hobbies. (The SCA, role-play games, video games, etc).

I'm going out to dinner tonight but the real party (due to my utter procrastination) will probably be in the Spring. It's going to be a pirate party on a ship (a dinner cruise kind of thing) I just need to work out all the details.

Work front: I'm here but I haven't done anything yet. I need to go see if the "American Dad" script came in. It records on Friday.

Home front: I'm still dealing with Home Depot on getting the patio titled. I got the quote yesterday and was astonished that they added $1000 of optional charges we never discussed. And the math on the quote is wrong.

SCA front: Went to council meeting last night. My first one in a few months due to being busy. They are a funny group of people. :) Eowyn and Jamal announced they are looking for successors. It makes me sad to see them getting ready to step down but I understand how much work it has been. I'm not at all sure who looks like a likely candidate for their replacements, but time will tell.

Game front: Issue 5 of City of Heroes came out and it's got some new fun types of missions and a whole new zone to play in. I've been enjoying it.

I want cake!

Oh so Happy a Birthday To YOU!

I have to tell you my friend, gitting to know you better over the last couple of years has been really great for me. It's true that we've traveled in the same circles for sometime, it's not like we were strangers or anything, but it's only been since I started playing in Lyondemere (and Paragon City of course!) that I've really had the time to talk with you and hang out. Over the last what, two years, I've come to regard you as one of the family.

So have a great birthday, and I look forward to celebrating with you at some point in the future.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! On the whole it was pretty good (albeit a little weird). My co-worker at work brought in a cake so we got to have cake in the office vacated by my boss who hasn't been replaced yet. And I went to dinner last night with my parents and a few friends. The real party will be some time in the spring. After football season and when it starts getting light out later I'm thinking.
