There was a lecture at the Getty tonight that I wanted to go to, but I didn't because there was an important homeowners meeting tonight. So I made it home in time for the meeting and went to the lobby (our normal meeting spot) at the appointed time. And didn't see anyone. And went to read the posted notice. The meeting is *next* week. What a dope!

Ah well. I shall get the last of the eyelets on my bodice done tonight! No excuses! And get the thing tried on and the skirt hemmed.

Sorry you missed the lecture -- it was the most interesting one I've attended at the Getty. Perhaps because he was a good speaker, perhaps because he had a broader topic (Books of Hours) than some of the lecturers.

Do see the exhibit. I noted a tiny little white wyvern inside a dark blue barbed quatrefoil that filled all the circle-parts and the point parts with bits of his body. The whole design was maybe three-quarters of an inch high. There was also a page with 8 yellow wyverns in annulo, surrounding the text. Can you detect a theme in what I was noticing?
