Sunday Time!

Okay....it's nearly 3:00 and I haven't accomplished much at all. I went looking for some lightweight linen in local stores (cuz I decided it would be a bad idea to go downtown while they are running the LA Marathon). No luck at the JoAnne's in Santa Monica. No luck at the local fabric store in Fox Hills (though they had some heavier linen for $8/yard. And F&S isn't open on Sunday apparently. Oh well.

My brother-in-law and parents and sister came over to look at the storage shed and to try to get the roof on better. It's not totally snapped into place but tis enough, twill do. (Not like I'm gonna get hurricane's ripping it off.) I moved the pavilion into it and will add more stuff later, but I'm going to have to custom fit a shelving unit in there to make best use of the space. Next thing is to get rid of the table I had on the patio (Goodwill or something), buy the fountain, buy the planters, buy plants and I'll be done! Woo! I did my tai chi out there yesterday. It was nice.

So, I need to get something accomplished today before I just give up and say it's too late.

hey hon, not trying to be a nudge, just want to make sure you got the email I sent a couple of days ago to both you and Luighseach. My email tends to get lost in the ether sometimes, goodness knows why. Anyway, if you can let me know if you received it, that'd be great. Then I promise not to bug your for at least another week about it ;-)

Hi, yeah, I'm still Scribe Armarius and I got your note, just haven't had a chance to do anything about it yet. I'm in the process of re-connecting the old computer and getting it to talk to the new computer, which is taking way longer than it should.

Custom shelving - is that something a few bits of Gorm from Ikea might handle? Gorm is their new/updated Sten line.

Something like that would be cool, but I have to make the shelving fit around the tub with my pavilion in it (which takes up 2/3 of the bottom of the shed). But I'll take measurements and go check that out.
