Oh Frabjous Day!

I have my car back!!!!!! That makes me very happy! Although after four weeks of driving the rental it feels pretty weird. The gear shift is now in the wrong place and the engine pickup is really different. And somehow all the radio station buttons have been de-selected and I can't find Jack FM now. :) But I'll find it! And re-adjust to my car. And now I can take in the recycling cans and stuff I just didn't want to do in the rental. (Big fear of getting it dirty and having them charge me extra or something, which I'm thinking they did anyway.)
The auto body place washed the car! And cleaned the inside! It hasn't been this clean since I bought it!
In other news:
Work Front: I'm really slammed and I'm not up to full production yet. Several shows haven't even started. I think one of my problems is that I have several 1/2 hour single camera shows which shoot for 5 days rather than 3-camera shows which tape 1 night (well they usually do pre-shoots the day before). So the script clearance memo has to be done really fast, and naturally only one show is getting me the scripts in a timely fashion. This just creates tension. I'd be fine if everyone would leave me alone, but I get constant "little" requests. "We want to change this name, oh we have a sign on the set today, can we use this name for our evil corporation, can we use this image we found on the internet?". It takes time to check this, find that, say okay say no, etc. :) But I love my job. Really.
Home Front: I cleaned out a file cabinet drawer yesterday. Very satisfying. I threw most of the stuff out, but I kept this whole bunch of keys that I mostly have no idea what they open. Some of them are old keys from before I changed the locks on the condo, and I *know* I don't need them but I keep thinking I have to make sure.
Game Front: I managed to get two of the "accolades" in CoH almost by accident. One of them is a plus to hit points and one is the Crey ice pistol :) (Yes, yes.....non-geeks can skip this :) Some where around Issue 2 the developers put badges into the game. There's a lot of different types. Some are exploration badges (you go to the spot, you get it), some are history badges (you go around and read several different plaques), some are defeat badges (you defeat 50-100 or more of a certain type of mob) and some are specific mission badges. The accolades are usually combinations of all the above (get x exploration badges, x history badge, finish this and that missions and a couple of defeat badges). So my main char has about 100 various badges but had only 1 accolade. I thought it would be fun to pick up a few more badges. As it turns out, I only need a couple of things for two of the accolades. Fun! (Okay.....everyone but Thomas can continue reading).
Health Front: Gonna get back on the stick today! Though I slept too late to walk this morning, I'll try for a walk at lunch and then get up early tomorrow.

Date: 2005-08-23 06:55 pm (UTC)1) My housekeeper. Absolutely non-negotiable. When my husband complained about our monthly expenditures (the last time!) I would not budge. I have other things to do with my limited free time and cleaning the house/changing beds/mopping, etc. is the last thing on my priority list. Well, if not the last, close to it.
2) Having my car cleaned. I find I loathe doing the inside of the windows, but get easily squicked when they're dirty. It's a pleasant outing to the carwash place every two weeks or so, fork over $19 and have it done while enjoying some ice cream and a book. And if I add an additional $10, I get the oil changed AND a clean car on top of it.
Works for me! Seems to me that there are much worse vices to have than a liking to have clean glass on one's ride.
