I took my mom and an old friend of hers on the French Park Home Tour today. What great fun! We started (naturally :) with Paul and Joe's house (partially cuz I figured I could park near by.) Of all the houses on the tour (with the possible exception of one of the two craftsman homes), Paul and Joe's was my favorite. It's a beautiful house to start with and all the painting and wall-papering and furniture selection just adds sheer perfection. Spectacular! The rest of the house were amazing, though some of the Victorian ones were a little too froo-froo for my tastes. One of the craftsman houses though.....ah sigh....that one I could totally see myself living in. One of the owners did a lot of stenciling in several of the rooms and in the stairwell. Man, it was stunning! I want my place to look like that (which is hard cuz it's a tiny condo and not a sweet little bungalow).
Anyway...it made me really want to come home and clean the house but by the time I actually got home I was tired. :)
I dropped mom and Jo off and then went to Aero hobbies to get something for an rpg tomorrow. It's a little bittersweet how well Keith is keeping the store. I miss Gary very much, but it was neat to see a lot of people gaming at the store and they were having a miniatures painting competition with a customers choice category so I got to vote on them. Next time I'm there, I'll find out who won.
Then I happened by Graphaids and decided I really want a french curve, and happened into their yearly 40% off sale! Score! I didn't buy much though, but still...40% off!
Now I'm beat and my stupid cough has come back, so it might be early to bed. And it's raining. I love the sounds of rain.
Okay...enough rambling.
