Life as we know it

Let's see. I started this blog not quite a year ago convinced that it wouldn't last long. Well, it did last longer than I planned but it's starting into pilot season and things are picking up here at work. (I have my first pilot script in hand.....a comedy but I haven't so much as glanced inside yet). Two shows have completed (13 episodes only) so it shouldn't be busy, plus my animated projects keep pushing their schedules back. I really should be able to get caught up on revisions if I work hard today and tomorrow. But.....I don't want to. Whine. I want to read something new and exciting not fourth revisions on a show I didn't think was that great the first time I read the script. I really miss the Angel/Buffy/Firefly shows. I'm going to lunch tomorrow with the script coordinator who I worked with on Buffy and I'll ask him what Joss is up to in the TV world (though I do know one thing :)
Work Front: See above
Home Front: The kitchen and living room are in pretty good shape. I made some inroads on the mess in the bedroom and will continue that over the weekend. Does anyone know where to get drawer dividers/plastic storage/boxes/etc. cheap? I keep watching these organizing shows on TV and that seems to be the big answer. Throw everything in a plastic box and label it. I got a cable modem yesterday, so I'm back on the internet at home. Yay.
Health Front: Still need to work on the diet and getting more exercise thing, but I did start a tai chi class on Tuesday (which will take the place of my feeble attempt to get back into fencing.) It turns out, I've forgotten nearly everything I learned in the 1+ years I did tai chi. Very sad, but I hope it will come back to me. There are people in the class that remember me (and vice versa) from when I was doing it, which is pretty neat. Catarina is going to join me in the class next week, which ought to be very fun.
Game front: Modern Magic RPG will be on Monday. Looking forward to that, the characters are fun to play. The next Serenity game is the 27th, and that will be fun also. Still playing CoH/CoV and still getting a major kick out of it. I need to get together and RP some with Ben who started a RIMA character who is the uncle of one of my heroes. :) (Okay....I'm sure that only means something to Ben and I :)
Other stuff: I'm watching this show called "Supernatural" on the WB which is kinda in the vein of "The X-Files"/"Buffy" and stars two really hawt young guys. Check it out. Tuesday's at 9pm, with a repeat Sunday at 9pm. Hawt guys! Ghosts! Demons! Hawt guys! Pagan apple tree gods! Did I say hawt guys?
later!

Date: 2006-01-12 07:18 pm (UTC)Tai Chi? I have really been thinking about getting into tai chi! Where do you go, and is it an evening class?

Date: 2006-01-12 07:31 pm (UTC)The teacher is Marjorie Jackson who is kinda of a new age whaco in some ways, but she is a brilliant tai chi practioner. She does have a tendency sometimes to let her advanced students do a lot of the teaching but I learned a lot when I took it before. I think the average cost is about $10 per class.
