Tai Chi and Stuff

Had a really good tai chi session last night. The teacher is off getting married so her senior students ran the class last night, and there were a lot of them. Mai and I worked on the second section which starts off like this:
Carry Tiger to Mountain
Grasping Bird's Tail
Press
Withdraw
Push
Polishing the Top of the Maserati (stop snickering Finella :)
Fist Under Elbow
Repulse the Monkey (3x)
Slanting/Flying, empty step
Close Hands
White Crane, transition
Brush Knee
I'm not sure if there is another empty step after the Brush Knee. I'll have to go check my notes. A lot of the moves are repeated from the first section, but we worked on repulse the monkey alot which is a move where you are stepping backwards. It will all take more practice.
When I got home I'm afraid I just played CoH for awhile, rather than anything useful and I ended staying up rather later than I planned/wanted and didn't get up early enough for a walk today. I'll try and get out and walk a mile at lunch time. Heh....or maybe take a really long lunch today.
The only thing on my agenda today at work, is to get the rest of my files in the file room unpacked. Apparently the attorney's think that is a real priority....but of course none of them are doing the work.
I'm taking Friday off to go to the Getty Villa, which ought to be fun. And Saturday I might get together with Lisa to finish the patio. I need the fountain, planters and some plants. Woo! Then it will be done and will be a place to really relax and do my tai chi.
