Another Day in the Neighborhood

I'm so over this heat thing. Enough already. I want some cooler days! Walking in the morning isn't bad, as it's not hot, but it sure isn't the cool mornings I remember from the last time I did a lot of walking. I'm giving myself a gold star for getting up early enough to walk 40 minutes in the morning rather than 20. I really think that is making a difference. Plus trying to do some walking in the evening.

Mission 101: I ordered a new cell phone last night! Yay! Finally! About bloody time! It should be here in a week or less. It's a cheap one, at the end of the day I just wanted something new, it doesn't need to double as a can opener or anything. (Though the idea of one that doubles as an mp3 player is rather appealing....)

Beyond that, I didn't do much last night. I did jump on CoH for a little bit and said hi to a friend that I rp with and got involved with a scene he was doing. I might get an invite into one of their SG's out of it. Which would be cool because not that many of my ingame friends are really role-players, which I really enjoy. I'd still be a Defiant with most of the rest of my toons, but this one might be a Warrior as well. Geek-dom abounds.

Okay...off to whittle away at the massive pile of work!!

I friggin hate the heat as well, I am right on the beach *in England* and thought we'd be fine, but no it is horrible here. I got out of bed at 7:00 to do my walk early cause at 11:00 yesterday morning it was bad, but even at that early hour it was a bit unpleasant, and the city workers hadn't come by yet to clean up all the bottles and other assorted trash from last nights drinking.

As far as MP3 players, I'd get a separate one, I just think that the quality would be a but better, and I just adore my Ipod mini, it is so easy to load music onto the computer and than onto the Ipod, it's amazing. Yah might want to go ahead and get Itunes anyway (it's free) cause there are some cool podcasts out there. I know Leaky Cauldron has weakly ones, and I love the Deadwood ones (some even come with video), and I have a feeling there are ones related to Supernatural out there.

It's bloody freezing here in Australia but I'm more of a winter person that a summer one. Plus, summer here is always outrageously hot due to global warming. We get days about 45 degrees, I'm not sure how to convert that into fahrenheit, but it's BOILING
