New Mantra: Wait til pilots are over
Mar. 17th, 2006 01:28 pmMan! It's PILOT SEASON!!!!! Everyone is wigging out all over the place. I keep getting calls and emails and if they could they would march down in person to tell me "but....but....we're shooting this tomorrow/Tuesday/Wednesday/now." Yes, dear, I know. So is everything else. I'll get to it as soon as I can. So far, I've today I've cleared names for hamburger stands, graphics for a fictional JPL, character names for My Name Is Earl, approved graphics for TSA patches and airport scanners, working on music labels for band t-shirts. What I *need* to be doing is reading the big pile of script revisions that are piling up all around me. OH....and getting ready for our departmental move to the 14th Floor.
Got to get back on track with the food thing. The past week I was pretty derailed. Want to start doing more tai chi at home. I'm really liking the class. World Tai Chi day is coming up in April and I want to go. My teacher started taking us through Yang short form because it will be done at World Tai Chi Day. I'm doing okay with it save for one move called Repulse the Monkey (which cracks me up) that I don't quite remember. I'm doing better than the real beginners though, because I've done most of this before, though tricky trying to remember it from 3 years ago.
Hopefully young strong tall friends are coming over this weekend to help get the roof on the storage shed. That would be good, then I can start moving things into it. Maybe I'll go buy the fountain this weekend.
Oh, and a shoutout to Thomas: As soon as I see some of these new paychecks, I think I want my totally frivolous gaming laptop. Let's go shopping soon! :)
