I was going to go over to "Standoff" today and have lunch with my friend who works on the show and then see them filming later in the afternoon but she called in sick. We'll try and reschedule next week. It's close cuz it's shooting on the lot, but I'm somewhat disappointed. But only somewhat as I really want to run to the art store at lunch and pick up some mat board and exacto blades.

A few years ago when Luciana was Scribe Armarius she made a bunch of scroll carriers for people to take their scrolls home in and to use for the scroll displays. Naturally the majority of them never found their way back to the scribe armarius. So I want to make some new ones. Mine though will include a half page notice on the back reading:

"This scroll carrier has been provided for the safe transport of your scroll. It is not made of archival materials and is not intended for long term storage. Please return as soon as possible to Aliskye MacKyven Raizel (alizkye@yahoo.com) or to the Scribe Armarius or to any active working scribe."

I might not have time to make more than one tonight, but I'll see. I figure that 3 sheets of mat board will make 4 16x20 carriers and that seems to be a good mid-range size.

I still need to do laundry tonight and pack stuff for Coronation and Queen's Champion. I think I'll need less stuff than for Collegium but I always tend to over pack.

Nanowrimo is mostly on hold until after the weekend. Then I'll see if I can write 50,000 words in two weeks. It's not looking likely. And right now, I think I'd rather be spending that time working on scrolls anyway. someone should start NoScFiMo :) (National Scroll Finishing Month) but every month should be NoScFiMo.
