I finally got the thing to pour correctly! At least once. :) I let the mold warm up before I started. There is a little more flashing around the design then I would like, but at least it's working. I need to do a little work on the back plate and add a "makers mark" (shout-out to Tonwen *grin*)
My eye feels 100% better today.
I will work on it a bit more, then I'm going to LACMA to see the Klimt exhibit.
Things I Have Learned:
Dermal tools take off more material then you think.
Gloves are good.
Eye drops are bad.
Always wear eye protection. (Repeat 96 more times)
Pewter is a very interesting medium. :)
